Holiday Light Installation in Columbia, Rocheport and Jefferson City

Holiday lights should be the part of December you enjoy, not the Saturday you spend on a ladder in the cold. Kellan plans the run, hangs it, keeps an eye on it and takes it down in January.

A clean home exterior with a gable end and horizontal lap siding, where holiday lights would be installed.

What this service actually involves

Most of the difficulty with holiday lighting is not the lights, it is the height and the weather. Roof lines, gable peaks and tall porch columns are exactly where a display reads best from the street, and exactly where a homeowner on a leaning ladder in December has no business being.

Planning matters too. A run that follows the architecture, with even spacing and clips rather than staples, looks calm and deliberate from the road. Rushed lighting sags, throws odd shadows and pulls attention to the mess rather than the house.

What is included

  • A layout planned around your roof line, gables, porch and trees
  • Clip fixing along the run, so no staples or nails go into your trim
  • Ladder work handled, including the heights homeowners should avoid
  • Timer and power arrangement set up so it comes on when you want it
  • A check during the season if a run goes dark
  • Takedown in January, with everything coiled and boxed

Why it matters

The reasons this work is worth doing on time rather than eventually.

The ladder work is the risk

Icy ground and a December roof edge are where most homeowner light injuries happen.

A planned run looks calmer

Even spacing along the real lines of the house reads far better from the street than a rushed loop.

January stops being a chore

Takedown is part of the arrangement, so the display comes down on time rather than in March.

How the process works

  1. Book early, ideally by OctoberThe calendar fills before the first cold snap, and early booking means good weather for install day.
  2. Plan the displayKellan looks at the roof line and porch and talks through what will actually read well from the road.
  3. Install and switch onThe run goes up on clips, the power and timer are set, and you see it lit before he leaves.
  4. Season support and takedownIf a section fails he comes back, and the whole display comes down and gets boxed in January.

How to prepare

None of this is essential, but it makes the visit quicker and the result better.

  • Decide early which lines of the house you want lit
  • Have your own lights out and untangled if you are using them
  • Make sure an exterior outlet works, or say if there is not one
  • Keep the ground under the roof line clear of furniture and decorations
  • Agree a takedown window in January when booking
